The HP Deskjet 3940 offers print speeds that are up to par with most other home inkjet printers.  At 16 pages per minute in the black mode and 12 pages per minute in the color mode, most home users will find print speeds adequate.  Users desiring a faster print speed may want to consider some of HP’s laser printers that can produce prints in both color and black much more rapidly.  If the user selects the best quality prints, print speeds slow down significantly.  For the best quality photo prints, the machine prints at 0.8 sheets per minute.   Consumers will want to take this into consideration if they must use the HP Deskjet 3940 at the best quality on a regular basis.

Home computer users looking to add a printer to their system may want to consider the HP Deskjet 3940.  The HP 3940 printer offers good quality output from a very affordable printer.  Unless the higher yield black cartridge is found, the cost of ink can be a little more expensive than other printers, but it is difficult to match the quality produced.
